How can I get more sales?
This is the million dollar question for any business, it is well known in the marketing industry that companies are looking at spending more money on digital marketing instead of traditional forms of marketing instead of say print advertising.
What does this mean for you? Well you should be looking at your business in terms of digital mediums that can be used to target your customers. Things like your website, do you have one? Is it up to date? Has it been optimised so that it appears on page 1 of Google and other search engines? Does it look professional and sell well? Other things to consider are:
- Email advertising
- Search engine optimisation
- Pay per click advertising
- Article writing
- Social networking
- Affiliate links
If you know nothing about any of these then the chance is that your marketing plan is completely out of date, you do have one right? NO! If you don’t have a marketing plan then how are you getting new customers? How do you expect your business to grow? Ok this is an aside but you need to write down a list of at least 10 ways of marketing your business, they can be free or paid marketing. Try to define your target audience by thinking about who they are, where do they hang out etc then work out which of your 10 ways you can use to target new customers.
